The XI CHAPTER GRANT-IN- AID of $500
has been awarded since 1961 to Schuylkill County women majoring in education. Candidates who have completed the sophomore year of college with a GPA of 3.0 or above and have a primary residence in Schuylkill County are eligible. A completed application submitted by the deadline is required. Request an application from Webmaster online or from committee. |

The Xi CHAPTER CLASSROOM GRANT
of approximately $500 was established in 2016 to alternate with the Xi Chapter Grant- in-Aid . Eligible candidates may be in-service active members, former members who are actively teaching, or former Xi grant-in-aid recipients. Funds may be used for projects, activities, or supplies related to excellence in education. Applicants must submit a completed application on time. Request an application online from Webmaster or committee. Stephanie Kaye as co- chair of the Peace Poster Contest for district 14-U received a certificate of appreciation from the Lions International President in April 2018.

FRIEND of EducationSchuylkill County Education Association honored Xi Chapter's Ann Marie Keyes among 10 recipients of its annual Spring awards to community "Friends."
St. Clair School District nominated Ann Marie for volunteering her piano accompaniment skills at elementary student practices and programs. As a former district reading specialist, she presented teacher in-service samplings of "reading and refreshments." |
THE PA STATE ORGANIZATION OF THE DKG SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL presented the following awards to Xi Chapter members: 2019 ALBUM OF DISTINCTION AWARDS to both Joan Koslosky and Stephanie Kaye for recognitions won outside of DKG. 2013 An enrichment grant of $1000 was awarded to Rita Tamalavage for travel to PEI. 2001 Rochelle P. Evanousky was presented with a State Scholarship at the Nittany Lion Inn. 2000 Nancy Jones received a State Scholarship at the state convention. 1994 Dawn Baer received the Margaret J .Wolf award of $1500 at the state convention to enable her to complete her principal's certificate. . |
